Active as composer, pianist, and conductor, Max Lifchitz was awarded first prize in the 1976 International Gaudeamus Competition for Performers of Twentieth Century Music held in Holland. Since 1980, the North South Consonance Chamber Orchestra is dedicated to vocal, instrumental, and new music from the Americas, under the direction of Max Lifchitz, who conducts the orchestra for over 40 years and has brought to the attention of the New York public over 1,000 different works by composers from every corner of the world.

Leonardo Suarez Paz is a visionary artist who redefines tango as a complex, contemporary genre - a legacy that was passed on to him by family friend and mentor, Astor Piazzolla. A composer, choreographer, vocalist and "virtuoso extraordinaire on the violin" (Wynton Marsalis) Leonardo's "knowledge of the tango violin playing conveys a century of individual styles" (The STRAD Magazine).
He is twice Latin Grammy Nominated artist who has been featured as a soloist on scores of GRAMMY winning recordings including those of Placido Domingo, Luis Miguel, Carlos Franzetti and Ruben Blades and is sought out worldwide as a Nuevo Tango specialist and the "torchbearer of Argentine Tango and the legacy of its greatest composer, Astor Piazzolla" (All About Jazz, UK).

Argentine-born Latin GRAMMY Award winning musician & educator, Rodolfo has been featured with New York City Opera, at The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall, Lisner Auditorium of George Washington University and the Embassy of Argentina. He has performed with Leonardo Suarez Paz's Cuartetango string quartet, El Nuevo Tango and Symphonic Tango programs.
He has been featured as a bandoneon soloist with the Choir of the National University of Cuyo (U.N.C. - Mendoza), Coro de Jóvenes de la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo and the Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia.

Violoncello Concertante
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Leo began playing the cello under the tutelage of the legendary Walter Joachim, then the principal cellist of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, with which Leo went on to play as a soloist. His solo engagements included Arthur Honnegger's Cello Concerto with Charles Dutoit conducting.

Olga Suarez-Paz is a dancer and chorepgrapher who has partnered with Leonardo Suarez-Paz since 2009. She was featured at Centro Cultural Kirchner in Buenos Aires, Lincoln Center, Metropolitan Museum of Art and National Museum of Dance, was a tango guest with Savion Glover, Greenwich Symphony and the Greenwich Chamber Players, who which she chorepgraphed 'A Soldier's Tale.' She was the Dean's Artist-In-Residence at NYU, recipient of NYCSA, LMCC & Dance/NYC Awards. She co-directs Nuevo Tango Arts and Nuevo Tango Ballet.

Argentine dancer, actor & singer, Sofia Ameglio is a member of Nuevo Tango Ballet. She is a graduate of the National School of Dance (Buenos Aires, AR) and the Martha Graham School (NYC). Sofia is an active performer in the NYC area, specializing in modern and contemporary dance and musical theater.

Ashley Cassetta graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University in 2020, receiving her BFA in Dance. She has been a freelance dancer based out of New York City since 2021. Riley Haley is a New York-based choreographer and dance artist dedicated to creating spaces that inspire self-discovery and artistic expression. She has worked with the Limón Dance Company, Cardinal Movement, KTCO, and Santa Barbara Dance Theater. She has also toured nationally with Selah Dance Collective and internationally with UC

She has worked with choreographers including Juliano Nunes, Flockworks, Rosie Herrera, Natasha Adorlee, Helen Simoneau, Laja Field and Victor Rottier. She is a recipient of the Corwin Award for Oustanding Choreography and Arnhold Award for Excellence. Riley holds a BFA in Dance from UCSB and looks forward to continuing her artistic journey.

Kroe studied under Valentina Barsukova at Valentina’s School of Ballet in Clawson, Michigan and went on to obtain her BFA in Dance and BA in psychology as well as a minor art therapy from Marymount Manhattan College. During her time at Marymount, Kroe performed works by David Parsons, Martha Graham, Christian Von Howard among others. Additionally, she was a part of Marymount’s select performance company where she had the pleasure of performing pieces by Twyla Tharp, Jenn Freeman, Darshan Singh-Bhueller, Katie Langan, Jenn Archibald and more. Kroe is a company dancer with Marie-Christine Giordano Dance and creator and director of KROEMovement. This will be her first project with Nuevo Tango Ballet.

Isabelle is drawn to repertoire that invites both narrative and emotion, reimagining traditions such as tango and classical music through a modern choreographic lens.
