Join us at Peridance, New York's Premiere Dance Center for 2 Special Workshops!

Expand your versatility as a dancer and deepen the technical and cultural understanding of tango dance and genre. 

In each class, participants will work on “forward center,” shared balance, walking technique and the use of disassociation to produce movements from leading to embellishments.  Focusing on improvisational lead and follow and musicality we will explore dynamics, styles and steps from basics to giros (turns), sacadas, voleos and ganchos. Find out why artists such as Pina Bausch, Paul Taylor and Julio Bocca have been inspired by Tango and how you can use tango music and dance to enrich your own creative practice.  

Dance Technique, History of Tango, Etiquette & Community!

Immerse  yourself into the beauty of Argentine Tango culture and enjoy our welcoming community at "La Capilla Del Tango" at the Historic Chapel of Good Shepherd. This 4-week course focuses on technique, steps, music, etiquette, history and the genre's connection to NYC. Learn in a positive, miulti-level environment with 2 master teachers: Leonardo & Olga Suarez-Paz and make new friends along the way!
