PIAZZOLLA100: THE NEW YORK TANGO FESTIVAL JUNE 12 - 17, 2025

The festival takes place in New York City. Concert locations vary, please check the CONCERTS for more details. Music and Dance Workshops, Master Classes and Private Coaching take place on Roosevelt Island (NY, NY 10044). Studios and concert halls are all ADA compliant and located within minutes of each other. We encourage everyone to participate. Students and professionals alike can benefit from our workshops. Professionals can engage in an authentic tango experience by playing in a typical tango orchestra and small ensembles as well as delve into tango from its roots to some of Piazzolla's most well known compositions.  Music students and improve their technique and versatility by leaning more about tango and Piazzolla, whose compositions are a staple of the Classical Music repertoire. We encourage everyone to participate, from beginners to professional dancers who wish to expand their dance vocabulary and experience. Our dance education program is built on creating a strong understanding and mastery of tango dance fundamentals. We offer a daily Fundamentals class during the festival which is recommended to everyone, whether they have 1 day or 10 years of dance experience.

No. There is no minimum or maximum age requirement.  For music students, basic knowledge and proficiency of your instrument is recommended. Additional information can be found on the REGISTRATION page.
